05-15-13 I and other ArtStud people went to Lucban, Quezon Province to witness the famous Pahiyas Festival! And boy was it amazing!! These are just some of the photos I had managed to take. But srsly, it was really incredible. Indeed, festivals are more fun in the Philippines. The Lucban folks used farm products to decorate their houses’ facade, as in veggies, fruits, crops, etc.. Well, it’s because Pahiyas Festival is like a thanksgiving celebration to St. Isidore, the patron saint of the farmers. Lucban btw is famous for its pancit habhab and kiping (it’s like a thin wafer made of rice). There were a loooot of people who flocked to the said town, and so the whole trip was really crowded, and sweaty and hot and…but it was all worth it! I look forward to seeing more pinoy festivals. Travel the whole Philippines!!!
